The Accident & Emergency Department at Macclesfield District General Hospital can get extremely busy treating patients with health problems brought on by the hot weather.

Therefore, we’re asking people to remember that A&E is for life-threatening emergencies only and that there are lots of other options for urgent care.

People with chest conditions should ensure they have adequate medication, use their rescue packs as recommended and contact their GP if they feel their symptoms are worsening.
