Local young people set to transform town underpass as part of The Prince’s Trust Programme

Young people from Macclesfield on a Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service led Prince’s Trust Programme are taking on what is to be the largest community project every completed by a team.
The team of 11 are will be transforming the Middlewood Way underpass in the town, starting on July 3, and want to make it more appealing for residents and shoppers to walk through. This will form part of the 12 week programme
To enable them to complete the project they are looking for help from local groups and residents and they are also appealing to local businesses to provide materials such as paint, plants and wood. The team are on a 12 week Prince’s Trust Programme and need to do this project as part of the programme, which will help them to learn about budgeting and financial planning, managing a schedule of work and working together as a team.
