At a time of great uncertainty and confusion, we sincerely hope that your organisation, colleagues, and loved ones are okay. Please ensure that you are staying safe and keeping up to date with the most current advice from Public Health England. If there is anything the Hospice can do to support your business at this difficult time, please do let us know.
Here at East Cheshire Hospice, we are constantly striving to achieve the best possible care for those in our community affected by life-limiting illness and now is no different. Our In Patient Unit and Hospice @Home services remain fully operational and our amazing nurses are working tirelessly to support our local patients and families. We have however made the difficult decision to suspend our outpatient appointments and day hospice programmes, and will use telehealth procedures to look after these patients until further notice.
As a business in our local community, we are asking for your help, in any way you can.
As the 2nd lowest funded Hospice in the UK we are already under significant financial pressures. Due to the ongoing effects of Covid-19 almost all of our events and community activties have been cancelled, our retail shops have closed, and our ability to generate sustainable income has been severely impacted overnight. We are estimating that a third of our annual income may be lost, which could have a devastating impact on our ability to continue offering expert care to thousands of families in our community.
Because of this, we have launched an emergency ‘Now More Than Ever Appeal’ to recover lost funds. If your business is able to donate a one-off or regular gift, or even just share the appeal with your network, we would very much appreciate it.
On behalf of everyone at East Cheshire Hospice, thank you for your continued support.
