Cheshire East starts consultation to tackle parking issues in Wilmslow

Cheshire East Council is launching a consultation to seek views on a range of proposals for improving parking in Wilmslow.

The consultation is open for six weeks, with public exhibitions arranged for Wednesday 13 February from 6pm-8pm and Wednesday 6 March from 6pm-8pm at the United Reformed Church meeting rooms, in Chapel Lane, Wilmslow SK9 1PR, where key findings from the parking review study will be shared.

The council has continued in its commitment to reviewing the parking policies and issues as part of its new local transport plan. Council officers have been monitoring the situation and gathering evidence to shape the proposals that are now being consulted on.

The proposals, already suggested but not limited to, include:

● New waiting restrictions to prevent inconsiderate or obstructive parking
