Cheshire East’s junior recycling champions are crowned

Pupils from two Cheshire East primary schools have been crowned recycling champions thanks to their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle waste.

Over the past year, a record 180 pupils from 50 of the borough’s schools have been taking part in the junior recycling officer scheme – which is managed by the council’s wholly owned environmental services company Ansa.

And at an awards event held recently, Imogen, Charlotte, Rosie and Eloise from Bexton Primary School, in Knutsford, and Daisie, Jacob, Marianne and Katie from Highfields Academy, in Nantwich, were named Junior Recycling Officers of the Year.
