Since reopening in March 2005, the Vale Inn has established itself as a real ale and fresh food community pub. Close to the recreation ground, Middlewood Way and the Macclesfield Canal, there are two beer gardens and a large car park. Inside offers an open, friendly feeling — a touch of the original 1980s refurbishment remains with the original slate bar and a taste of the new with a redesigned back bar and wooden floor. A real fire completes the homely feel.
The reputation for real ale started with being awarded CAMRA Pub of the Summer 2006 and since then has gone from strength to strength and awarded in 2007, Macclesfield & East Cheshire Pub of the Year and then recently being named as one of the 10 best brewery taps in Europe by The Guardian newspaper.
Our real ales come direct from our own micro brewery Bollington Brewing Co. with a choice of six ales on hand pump. We now also have four keg beers from ours and other breweries as well as two real ciders and locally produced Moravka lager.
Our fresh food menu combines a mixture of dishes and we try to change the menu regularly rather than just having a set menu with a specials board. This allows us flexibility when certain items aren’t available due to seasonality or the price changes.
